IBM partners with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI into tools

IBM and Anthropic unveiled a strategic partnership today that integrates Claude's artificial intelligence models directly into IBM's software development tools, with early testing results showing significant productivity improvements for enterprise developers.

The collaboration, announced at IBM's TechXchange 2025 conference in Orlando, centers on Project Bob, IBM's new AI-first integrated development environment currently in private preview. More than 6,000 IBM employees who tested the platform reported average productivity gains of 45%, according to both companies.
